"This is a recording dating from 1972. I like that it captures a live feeling since you can catch some of the reverberating sounds that you would expect from a live performance in a church. It seems to magnify the sound and place it within space, as opposed to a flat sound that just exists digitally.

Kohler uses the full range of possibilities that the organ has and you will hear the difference as you listen from concerto to concerto. There's lots of trumpet sounds on this one so the major concertos sound very happy and joyous.

This is a very fine recording on a wonderful organ and is recommended."
