"This is a classic early techno/dance album that unfortunately seems out-of-print. Peter(Baby)Ford was a major innovative figure in the British scene around the early 90's. Techno had crossed the ocean from its birthplace in Detroit and found fertile ground in England. From there it crossed to Europe, finally to come back to the USA in the form of compilation CD's from England, Belgium, Germany, etc., causing many to assume that techno was a European invention.
Baby Ford's work in this period is much different than what he's doing now, which is minimalist electronica. The songs on this CD are dense, psychedelic dance mixes that will make your feet very happy. "Children Of The Revolution", a cover of a song also done by the Violent Femmes, is worth the price of the CD alone.
If you're inteseted in early techno, roots of techno, etc., this CD is right up your alley."
