Not What I Remembered

"To be fair, I'm reviewing the vinyl LP recorded on reel to reel and digitized to a CD on my computer. The sound quality is horrendous but that is not the fault of the album.
For a band that was named when the producer labeled the original master tape "B.B. Blunder" after Brian and Brian and thought they blundered the mix, the band didn't turn out so bad.
I found this album in the library at Torrejon Air Base in Spain back in 73 or 74 and recorded it to my reel to reel. I listened to it maybe once, and hated it. From what I remember, it sounded like a bunch of drunk blokes, sitting in a bar with a couple of guitars, playing into a microphone going to a cassette deck. Jump forward 34 years and my impression was completely wrong! I don't know what album I was thinking of, but this apparently, wasn't it.
The best way I can describe the music is maybe progressive rock with a smattering of other influences thrown it. Good guitar playing and some unique songs. You're So Young really sticks in my head, to the point of almost being annoying! Anther good track is Rocky Yagbag. These guys are not bad at all. Too bad they never went anywhere after that. I still have to investigate more on the Blossom Toes, what they used to be called.
If you are looking for something unique, this is the band for you. Recommended."
