"I first ran into this cd at a used music store, that will remain nameless so as to avoid lawsuits and such, while i was browsing the heavy metal section. I was looking for anything that could catch my all-seeing eye. The eye caught a glimpse of the name of this band 'Aversion,' which of course means "a strong feeling of dislike, opposition, repugnance, or antipathy." I thought that this seemed like quite a nice name for a band of the heavy metal variety, and proceeded to buy the cd, entitled 'fit to be tied.' The cover featured a few people hanging from nooses, which may very well be horribly misspelled, although the spelling is not of my concern at this time. I purchased the cd for 8.99 which, after taxes, comes to a grand total of about 9.63. Good price i suppose. I plug the disc into my car sterio and am blown away by the album's suprisingly fantastic opener 'Hung.' The album definately contains an older Metallica feel, in the sense that the singer almost sounds identical to what James Hetfield used to sound like. All of the songs are played somewhere between the speed range of moderate fast to blisteringly fast, and are all equally catchy and mosh-worthy. I am ashamed for not coming across this band earlier, seeing as how they are so awesome and all. My only complaint is a slight lack of solos. There are a few guitar solos, and they display some excellent fingerwork, but the problem is that there are only a few guitar solos. However, this band is excellent, this cd is excellent, low carb french toast is excellent. Whatever's clever. I hope anyone who reads this may decide to buy it. Better yourself, everyone you love, everyone around you, and everyone you've ever accidentally run into in a non-intentional way. Aversion is yumms."
Better than average

"I picked this album dirt cheap in a used shop, I was drawn by the cover and figured a test run would be worth a few bucks. Indeed. This album is full of speedy tracks with a few mid-paced stompers in there for good measure. In my opinion, if they had filled the album with tracks as fast as Hung and Vodka Frenzy it could have been a 5-star effort, because that is where Aversion really shines. The slower stuff has some appeal as well, but is a bit too groove-influenced for me. I'm not going to get all long-winded since there are already a few good reviews, but the bottom line is with the super-cheap price of this CD, you can't afford to pass it up."
