Synopsis

Album Details
Grupo Aventura Are the Focus of a Phenomenon Known as the "Crossover Kings of Bachata" Singing in "Spanglish". These Four USA Born Dominicans Came Together in 1999 and Became an Instant Smash in their Hometown of Nyc. Visit Any Bodega Or Take a Walk Through Upper Manhattan and Most Likely You Will Hear Cars Blasting their Music. They Broke the Popular Concept of What Bachata Is, Paving a New Road and Gaining International Attention. They Topped Radio Charts with their Hit "Cuando Volveras", Proving that Bachata Sung in English Actually Widens the Audience to Reach Young Latins who Speak Both English and Spanish...and Many Non-hispanics as Well. The Group is Already Selling as Many Or More Records Like Bachata Veterans Anthony Santos, Frank Reyes and Zacarias. Bachata Has a Fresh Image and Wider Audience Thanks to These Four Young Men. The Album Includes Two Karaoke Versions for Those Inspired to Try Singing it for Themselves!

CD Reviews

This is not Aventura
Marti Cuevas | New York, NY United States | 01/07/2004
(1 out of 5 stars)

"This group is not Aventura, but a group from Argentina that not only jumped on the wave of Aventura's success and innovative concept, but stole the group's name. The record label actually TRADEMARKED the name in the territory of Argentina in order to keep the authentic band out.Plainly and simply stated, this record sucks!"
