Martin Dumais, is an ambient drone artist from Montreal who describes his take on outsider-metal-meets-shoegaze as "blight metal." Elements of AUN's sound can be traced to the classic period of ambient music created by the likes of Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schultz, as well as to contemporary players like Tim Hecker and Troum. Motorsleep is broken into eight movements, all blending almost seamlessly. The intensity slowly picks up momentum over the course of the first few movements, reaching full power during the third and fourth pieces before eventually giving way to a series of closing tracks that recall the likes of Fennesz or a more menacing William Basinski.
