CD Reviews

A GREAT Rediscovery
Actor Man | Chicago, IL | 12/10/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This album sounds every bit as fresh as it did when it was released. Give it a listen and notice how the years have changed pop music. More economical in its sound, one could say innocent in sound, yet not in subject matter--this is a very romantic album, for those who can still appreciate the true aphrodesiac romance can be. Tracks like "My Little Town", a Paul Simon tune sung together with Art makes this listener long for what their continued collaboration could have been. "Lookin for the Right One", "Same Old Tears", and "99 Miles from LA", showcase Art's fabulous tenor, phrasing, and knack for the dramatic. Sure it is a little emotional, isn't that one of the things that makes music great?"
Classics endure the test of time

"If you love Simon and Garfunkel, either together as a group or as individual artists, then this CD is too good to either pass up and/or not have in your collection.

In a world where people nowadays are busy shouting at each other with thatI am going to be in your face 'tude, It is nice to go back and remember when music made sense without being obscene, because music is after all a Art (No offense Mr Garfunkel!)that touches the soul and hearts of those who lend a ear to them.

This music you can not only understand but enjoy as it relaxes you back to a time where love, flowers, romance, harmony and peace were the rule of the day, rather then hate, racism and obscenities were more in fashion then they are today.

Cat Stevens, Jame Taylor, Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, and Simon and Garfunkel, all touched your soul and made the (And they still do!) world and more beautiful and a better place to live for all!

Don't believe me? Then listen, to the samples from their albums, not with only your ears, but your heart as well. These treasures will never be old school, because as Ms Baez says, your soul is: "Forever Young""
