CD Reviews

Disappointing

"The first part of this CD is okay, but then they do a very odd thing by reprising most of the songs with the vocal track subdued. This is an intriguing idea, but the backing music just isn't interesting enough to sustain my interest by itself. Furthermore, the vocal are still audible, though pushed way into the background. It's a little like listening to a cassette that has been recorded over too many times so that music from previous recordings bleeds through."
The Revolving roots that "CAN'T " Be Arrested...

"This album is To BE...one in which should Be...a part of ones immediate and timely collection. I most appreciated the collected thoughts of positive vibes, mostly the props and praises to the Most High- Creator. as noted on tract 6- (Raining Revolution ). I also loved the rhythms and embraced them as I did on my last two trips to Kenya, East Africa in 1999 and Y2K. It's nice to know that the fingers and roots of the mother of civilization is still passed on thru her children and has not completely been lost, like the keys to the meaning of the 3D triangles in the sands of Kemit. I also dig the fact that the lead lady vocalist, Miss Nadirah Shakoor continued with the positive flow that she experienced singing on the Rhythm Nation Tour with Miss Janet Jackson. She can also be seen in Janet's "Black Cat " live concert video doin her thang. Miss Nadirah's vocals are AWESOME, as noted on tract 7, (Fishin' 4 religion ). And I look forward to hearing her solo album projects, ( "SOUL POWER" -Japanese import and "NADIRAHSONGS"-independently released by her... (how ever long it takes... :) in the near future. This album, " A.D. Live" is A Must for your grey matter...cuz,... IT MATTERS................PEACE..."
