Rare Gem

"I discovered Branduardi while on a vacation in Italy and chose the Yeats album because I thought it would be the most accessible. I'm now sorry I didn't buy more of his work, especially since my host had been playing other cds of his which I liked. I worried that once I was no longer in Italy, they would not retain their appeal. Was I wrong! The man is a gifted musician with a graceful voice that envelops you in the beauty of the songs. He is better known in Italy for his renditions of traditional music - giving it new life and appeal. An Italian star that deserves a wider audience. This is a fabulous album that provides (in very tiny print) the English poem beneath the Italian version so you can follow along. A great introduction to Branduardi."

"I love Angello Branduardi, and i have about 20 albums of him. This album, Branduardi canta Yeats, is the most superb album i've heared in my life ... it provides undescribable feeling of well-being when one hear it; from the lyrics which are excellent, to each note played by the guitars and other instruments, it is pure perfection. I think that it's the greatest album made by Angello until now (2003)."
