"Da' Take Over" will take over you!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I've always been a fan of Angel y Khriz because they are never the hottest thing in Reggaeton. They never seem to try too hard or be in your face, yet their hit "Ven Bailalo" was THE defining song for the Reggaeton genre in the last decade. I thoroughly enjoyed "Showtime" and thought that should have been nominated for a Grammy.

"Da' Take Over," to me, shows growth into adulthood from Angel y Khriz. Their music sounds more mature and focused. I would say that there is definetly something for everyone - your classic Salsa lazy-but-dirty track that you can dance to in a Salsa Club (Mal Negocio ft. Victor Manuelle), a bachata track (Me Enamore), a decent pop ballad (Como Olvidarte ft. Divino), and of course some RIPPIN' Reggaeton. In my opinion, Angel y Khriz's strengths are their collaborations while still staying in their niche. "Maltratame," "Subelo," "Que Hay Que Hacer," and of course the "come here and let me show you what I got" tracks "Gato Nuevo" and "Sin Verguenza."

I really like how Angel y Khriz maintain their element. Musically you can hear them evolving while not conforming to the powerhouse moguls that are Wisin y Yandel. That's why I'm liking "WY" less and less, and Angel y Khriz more and more.

The track that speaks to me the most is their opening song "No Hacen Na'." It inspires me everytime I listen to it. The only other Reggaeton artist to ever do that to me is Tito el Bambino.

Although I was a little dissappointed with the short track list, I have no doubt they will have continued success both on the radio and in the cars and homes of their fanaticos.

AFUEGO!

Yo Recomendo "Da' Takeover"!!
