"This CD never got it's fair due. It was never promoted well, came out at the wrong time and was just not what the listening public was looking for at the time of release. Now they'd be pushing it as Emo or something like that, though the musicianship makes most emo look like it's retarded bastard children. Either way, this is an intelligent album that is simple yet complex. The music is well written and the lyrics are witty, but still fairly straight-forward (sometimes painfully straightforward). I hadn't had the disc in my player for a while and popped it in to remember how much I liked it. Even so, it's not for everyone, but it's got a poppy sound, but has some roots in older bands like Jellyfish, as noted previously in another review. They also have influences from bands that I remember them touring with, such as Ben Folds 5.Overall this is a great album, if you're looking for something different, that's still accessable to most, pick it up (why not? They're selling them starting at like a $1 used?)"
