"I loved Vol. 1 and I like Vol 2 even more. Where are today's successors to composers like Burton Lane and Billy Mayerl? Thank goodness there are still people like Alex Hassan who know how to play this music. But why isn't Amazon selling this CD? I had to buy it from Shellwood Productions on the internet."

"Since I bought this CD (from the Shellwood Website) I have played it dozens of times: the compositions and the performances are outstanding. There is such a variety here, from the Little Rascals to Ivor Novello, and the period flavor of each is captured. The highlight of the disc may well be the final rhapsodic arrangement of "These Foolish Things.""
