CD ReviewsMore Great Lakes Folk Songs 04/09/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Alex Bevan shows again why he is a popular performer around the Lake Erie islands and northern Ohio. The songs on this CD combine stories about relationships with spouses, boats and freshwater fish with Bevan's humorous style and virtuoso guitar licks. His historical legend in the song Guns of Erie is, I think, less successful than others on the disc. Anyone who is familiar with such Great Lake legends as Lyman boats, built in Sandusky, Ohio, giant walleye, and other such "lake stuff" will surely enjoy this CD, and before long will be singing along."
