"This movie was cleverly achieved by Almodóvar. I have nearly all of his movies. He truly is very creative in the stories that he writes. I see a theme with him and how he showcases women as the valiant courageous survivors and the men as ....well..basically cowardly, bastardly trash. :)

I enjoyed seeing Carmen Maura back on screen in Almodóvar's films. From what I heard Maura and Almodóvar had a disagreement and for that reason she was not in any of his movies for a long time. I believe Maura was a favorite of his. Their prior, recent reconciliation would explain her return to his cast of stars, of which includes Penélope Cruz in "Volver."

The acting is all quite good in my opinion, the story is a tad bit fantastic but still very believable. Almodóvar is one of my favorite directors and in this movie, as per usual, he doesn't disappoint."
