Albert Schweitzer; theologian, philosopher, doctor, humanist, Nobel prizewinner, writer and music researcher. A multi-facetted personality, who was also able to draw strength from his music while devotedly completing the challenges facing him in Africa`s jungles. Schweitzer was an equally passionate organist and luckily enough some recordings of his playing have been handed down from the 1930s which can be deemed historic; there are even more recordings of Schweitzer from the 1950s.
