CD Reviews

A Great Return to Music!
JGFox | New York, NY | 04/25/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Alanis has tried to follow up Jagged Little Pill over the years and nothing has really stood out as her next big song. "Underneath" is a song that grows on you with the more you listen to it but after a few runs through I'm hooked.

There is an ethereal quality to Alanis' voice that sticks in your head long after the song is over with. This isn't the angst ridden, "tortured soul" Alanis from Jagged Little Pill but she has evolved nicely and it's a great song for today's radio. If you are wondering what type of sound Alanis went for with "Underneath" think Anna Nalick meets Enya with the Alanis twist and you'll have a pretty fair idea.

For the Amazon price, you can't go wrong. Definitely a keeper!"
