Amazing Virtuosity

"I can't figure out why Elizabeth Vidal hasn't become a sensation here in the U.S. Vidal's voice is crystalline, her coloratura flawless, and each note is as round and polished as the finest pearl. Her rendition of the "Doll Song" from the Tales of Hoffman includes a dead-on trill on e-flat above high C, topped off with an A-FLAT ABOVE HIGH C. Her bell-song equally stunning. Her husband, the fine French baritone Andre cognet, also impresses, but it's Vidal's show. Were this album to become better known, Vidal would justifiably join the ranks of popular legends such as sutherland, sills, and jenny lind. Get it while it lasts!
