AETHER is a Brazilian Progressive rock band, probably one of the most talented of the New Millennium. After a first album released in 1999 ("Visions"), the band of guitarist Vinicius BRAZIL is ready to create a new sensation with its second opus "Inner Voyages Between Our Shadows" (2003). Jointly released by the Musea and Rock Symphony labels, this gem of precious symphonism is composed of six long tracks forming a concept-album, each track being subdivided in numerous sub-sections. Sometimes, the listener is close to believing that he's listening to CAMEL or YES at their best. Jazz-rock fusion is also sensible, particularly with guitar parts that can evoke that which Allan HOLDSWORTH likes so much. Moreover, the vocals are perfect, and in English. A free cover version of MUSSORGSKY's "Night On Bald Mountain" is also present. Imbued with bliss and predominantly atmospheric, this music will definitely be able to make the diehards of the Seventies melt !
