It often borders on cruel and unusual punishment for the listener in general, and is sheer torture for Korngold enthusiasts. Nonetheless, it is a courageous undertaking for a regional orchestra (the East of England Orchestra). If you wish to encourage more regionals to perform and record Korngold's film music (highly recommended!), buy this CD. If not, move on." Good CD M. P.
