Synopsis

Album Description
After the release of their highly praised Humanity EP and a bunch of successful live performances at various summer festivals, 32Crash return to Earth with the most ambitious album ever created by man. Straight futuristic electronic tunes with a retro touch and the unmatched vocal talents of Jean-Luc De Meyer (Front 242) joined by the alien technology experts of Implant's Len Lemeire and Vive La Fete ex-drummer Jan D'Hooghe. They now travel in time to the year 2107 in order to assault and destroy the malevolent Universal Order enslaving mankind and plundering the planet's resources! Deliberate worldwide poisoning, the altering of the human psyche and the random disintegration of matter; now is the time for the mutant viral entity 32Crash to launch its first assault against the Reigning Evil and free mankind from tyranny forever. 32Crash is the new (de)generation of a music genre once thought extinct, now bound to cause massive chaos to the Universal Order through electronic holograms and self-replicating viruses, thus preventing the world sinking further into the endless darkness. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Weird News From An Uncertain Future! This version is a 2xCD limited edition boxset which includes a club-oriented full length bonus disc with remixes by such prestigious artists as: David Carretta, Punx Soundcheck, Tim Schuldt, Nid & Sancy, Helmut Kraft, Millimetric, The Penelopes and Lifelike.

"Oh, It's just another excellent work with Jean-Luc De Meyer in the middle of it. Really, JLDM knows how to pick the people he's gonna work with and knows how to put out incredible music. The songs on disc 1 start out being good, and they just get stronger as the disc plays on. My first go was on earbuds at my job, but then I got it home and put it in the stereo system. Truly wonderful!

The exception to me is the song Propaganda on disc1, which seems weak and fluffy. There are a couple of filler pieces, too, but they do serve a purpose, and that is to tell a story which you can read about in the description above.

I encourage you to go ahead and invest in the ltd 2 disc set because otherwise you will miss out on some incredible remixes, and also the song Anger. Anger sounds like it could have been at home on Cobalt 60's TWELVE album, one of my favorites. Dont get me wrong, this is not a rehash of JLDM's other projects, this is an entirely new thing. Get the Humanity EP if you want to go on a test drive first, it is well worth the $10 or so and has stuff not on the LP. Also, in the 2CD set, you get 32CRASH postcards and a mini-poster which I fully intend to dry mount and hang (above the computer, of course).

These guys have experience and talent on their side, and De Meyer's voice never gets boring. The concept, packaging, production, attention to detail, and sheer creativity are all here.

So do I have a gripe? Well...the track listings for both discs are on the back of the cardboard box but only disc1's listings are on the back of the actual jewel-box. Both discs listings should be on the back of the jewel-box as I have no intention of carting around the cardboard packaging. Annoying, but I guess I can copy the back of the box and insert it in the jewel-box if it means that much to me...

'Course now I have to start backtracking Implant since I am unfamiliar with them...

Anyway, get this! And to Mr. De Meyer: Thanks for keeping at it, and thanks for making it new every time you create!

PS: After listening to the song Propaganda after all this time, I realize the song is meant to be exactly the way it is. It is a statement, I believe, tho the remix on D2 is still better...

"You just cant go wrong when Jean-Luc De Meyer is involved. This is a fantastic electro-pop concept album from the members of implant & the distinct voice of De Meyer(Front 242). If your a fan of electronic music you should either already have this or on your way to purchasing it."
