2 MEX

"Dope hip hop, 2MEX is the sickest lyricist,
fat beats combined with hellafresh word play,
My favorite songs were Dreamin under preasure,
and the underground hip hop love song "baby I aint Joking"
with Labelmate Awolone.
It looks like he has hit his peak with this album the production by Omid and Life Rexall is a journey thru sound and I must end it with 2MEX LyricsMy name is 2mex I'm not afraid of the cops
I just live, check to check and I play hip hop
I got a brand new cd that I know you don't got
I got my own fat section in the mom and popsI'm the reason your little brother is not a gangster
I'd like to take a little bit of time to just thank you
for buying imitations to weak toys
you've spawned a new nation of b-boys
the bling bling stuff was a mirage
I got your sister doing head spins in the the garage
you can pass the xo and the hennessy
Pass me the x clan and public enemyyou might catch me in an escalade
but i don't make hip hop to have sex and get paid>
when you feeling down like you dont belong
and you actually care about lyrics to song
I got this brand new drug and its the bomb
It called run back home and hug your momthe return of fernandomania"

"2Mex is an LA underground hip-hop staple. He's from the original Good Life Cafe, the legendary spot that spawned Freestyle Fellowship, Jurassic 5, Pigeon John, Volume 10 to name a few...
2Mex is also in the super-group Visionaries, is down with the Shapeshifters, and Project Blowed. Basically, this is one of the hardest working artists on the underground.
He's influenced by everything from Public Enemy and XClan, to Dr. Demento and They Might Be Giants, to even the Cure. Clever wordplay, punk rock attitude, mosh pit energy, and head nodding hip-hop bangers is what best describes this Mid-City LA lyrical matador.
This album is a must get, and if you haven't heard the new SONGODSUNS "Over the Counter Culture" album, which is 2Mex's new alter-ego album, he's stepped it up even further with Visionaries style production, and more of his 2Mexish lyrical tattoing."

"This album is dope. 2mex is one of my top 5 favorite mcs of all time. This is every bit as good as the classics Mind Clouders and B-Boys in occupied Mexico. The production is fantastic, done by Omid and Liferexall.
On "Only as Good as Goodbye" 2mex flows over "Shreem," a track from Omid's "Distant Drummer." (Omid, by the way, is just about the dopest producer in hip hop today. Check out Beneath the Surface and Monolith.) A few of the tracks are really upbeat and hard-rockin', and others are really chill and melodic. The last song (binary numbers) is like 10 minutes of experimental beats, sirens, rhymes from several mcs, and a "Falcon Gentle" remix.
Check out Busdriver & 2mex's "Live Radio Concert" CD for live versions of "Falcon Gentle" and "Baby I Ain't Joking.""
Finally coming together for alex

"For starters, I probably would have given this album 3 1/2 stars if that were an option. Still, this is a VERY solid effort from the Visionary and ShapeShifter member. The album starts a little slow, but definitely picks up momentum throughout, and ends in stellar fashion, probably peaking at 'escape from the toyota matrix' w/lmno. lyrically, it is solid as a rock, but some of the beats are a little plain for my liking, but regardless if you are a fan of the west-coast underground sound, this album is a must have. 2Mex has definitely improved over the years, if you told me 3 years ago that 2mex would bring enough heat to carry a solo effort of his own, i would have told you to get off the pipe. Props to this hard working and humble mc for a worthy release."
