CD Reviews

Wiggles... Karaoke style!
Adelina Granillo | Phoenix, AZ | 11/05/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you've ever wanted to sing The Wiggles at karaoke, well now's your chance! I picked this up one day not really knowing what it was, but I didn't own it. I gave it a listen and was plesantly surprised when I heard karaoke versions after each song. I'm a Wiggles fan and a karaoke fan which made this perfect! While I haven't had the chance to sing this one on a real karaoke machine, its a lot of fun to sing along to anyway. It's a lot of fun for those who know these songs inside and out. It's a really fun cd and the kids I've listened to it with have loved having the chance to sing the song themselves."
Music and Sing-a-Long Karaoke CD

"The Wiggles Sing Along Crunchy Munchy Music is a CD that you can play on a CD player, Karaoke machine, or DVD player if it supports CDs also.

It has 10 songs but has 20 different tracks because each song comes with lead vocals and a version without for the Karaoke experience.

We just play it on our DVD player and watch and listen to it on our TV. My son really enjoys singing along and watching the lyrics and graphics on the TV screen. First it plays the regular song then it plays the Karaoke version without lead vocals so you can sing along.

My son loves getting to sing and dance along. He loves the Wiggles anyway. Our favorite on this CD is "Can You Point Your Fingers and Do the Twist".

I don't really think they needed to make this a Karaoke CD with the songs without lead vocals. It's the Wiggles so the fans are going to be 3-6 year olds. 3-6 years olds usually can't read anyway so the Karaoke experience is kind of lost on them. It would be more enjoyable if it just had the 10 regular tracks. We do enjoy the graphics with words and playing it on the TV. I'm glad they included that but it would have been fine with just the regular 10 tracks. It would have made it more enjoyable for those just wanting to pop this in and listen in car too."
There are better "Wiggles" albums than this particular one..

"Although there are 20 tracks on this CD, there are only 10 songs that include vocals; the remaining (even-numbered) tracks are the instrumental versions. For my three-year-old son, I'd prefer to have vocals on all of the tracks, or at least background vocals for the instrumental tracks. Also, there is quite a delay before any sound actually plays, which causes a bit of impatient behavior on my son's part. The booklet contains all of the lyrics, however, if I'm not mistaken, (most if not all of)the Wiggles albums usually include the lyrics. If your child is a true fanatic like mine, this CD won't go unheard, but if you're looking for more than just 10 songs, you might want to look elsewhere."
