I really wanted to hear some of songs he sang on American Idol. Was a little too rock a billy for me.

very boring. I'll admit, i liked Hicks on AI. But 3/4 of that was due to his stage presence and personality. the songs just don't pop, they lay flat. Run of the mill.

After listening to 3 songs streamed on www.taylorhicks.com (Runaround, The Right Place, and Dream Myself Awake), and being familiar with the two songs (Soul Thing and The Deal) from his self-produced "Under the Radar" CD, I simply can't wait for this CD to be released. It's going to have an incredibly infectious funky-groovy sound to it. I guarantee those 5 songs will stick in your head!
