Synopsis

Amazon.com
Definitely the best volume in the series, The Dark Side frequently culls from horror and suspense sources and serves up some great music. Not only are the themes from A Clockwork Orange, Halloween, and The Omen included, the compilers also added lesser-known but awesome works like "Suspiria" and "Dark City" and music from the television anthology Tales from the Darkside. TV shows such as Friday the 13th: The Series and Forever Knight are also represented. This 36-track collection features a couple of oddball inclusions (Mystery Science Theater 3000?) that could have been abandoned in favor of superior TV series themes like Psi-Factor and Ghost Stories. Even so, The Dark Side remains a superior compilation. --Bryan Reesman
