"it's sad. this is an exellent cd. i purchased it used. it is the ultimate comp. cd, along with any comp. from Kill Rock Stars. I don't love the promise ring, but their song on here is great. modest mouse (as always) sounds awsome. jawbox does a great job too. all the bands are perfect and this cd is great for listening to in your car. screw "emo"."
A great starter CD

"This is an outstanding CD for those looking to get into some great bands. If you know one of the bands on here and like them, then buy this CD to find more music from similar genres. Each song on this CD is from a different category, but they all share something in common at the same time. It is a fabulous CD, and one that all people stuck in the Dave Matthews Band and Korn style music should listen to. It will introduce you to a bunch of outstanding bands.Highly recommended. Best songs by: Hum, Promise Ring, Mineral, Jawbox, Burning Airlines, and Samiam.GET THIS FROM AMAZON NOW!"
Represents all that is still good about the punk aesthetic!

"This, unlike most compilations is an album. There is no doubt that this is a very comprehensive look at a scene that is about to explode into the faces of the unexpecting public. I have most of the albums these songs are on yet i still find this one interesting to listen to. Killer tracks from Hum, Knapsack, At the Drive in, Burning Airlines. My only problem with the album is that it left out Jawbreaker and Jimmy Eat World"
