CD Reviews

"Some good songs for a great price!"
Joseph J. Brigante | Norwalk, CT United States | 08/27/2000

"It almost is like this is a little soundtrack with a few songs from a few films. It contains two songs from Flashdance, "Maniac" from Michael Sembello and surprisingly, "What A Feeling" from Irene Cara. This is a surprise since this song is rare on 1980's hits collections. Another surprise was Bananarama's "Cruel Summer". This song was missing from "The Karate Kid" soundtrack, the scene where this song was most popular, while the original album it came from is out of print in the U.S., the self- tilted Bananarama. This is a fun song. Also included is "Up Where We Belong" from Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes, the hit from "An Officer and a Gentleman." Also on the album are two other great songs, "Lady In Red" from Chris DeBurgh and "Into the Night" from Benny Mardones. Great songs for a cheap price. Buy it! It's worth it."
Lukewarm 80's collection

"As an avid 80's fan, I thought there was some great stuff on this cd and other stuff that wasn't so great. "Maniac", "The Look of Love", "Cruel Summer" and "Into the Night" are vintage 80's and makes up for the weaker songs such as "Desire" by Andy Gibb which sounds more like 70's disco era music and "Pilot of the Airwaves" which I was not familiar with. This song sounds more like a tune from the country genre. I remember the song by Bruce Willis from the 80's and find this cd unique for including it. I have never seen it on any other compilation. The better songs on this cd however, can be found on other 80's cd compilations that would include other good 80's material that would be more worth the money."

"Get your favorite girl in the car(truck for me), put this in the CD player and remember those long forgotten dating days. I just turned 40 and this is the stuff that legendary nights full of mischief and mistakes were made of. MAKE SOME MORE!!!! If your name makes the newspaper,,,you done a good job. I love these old compilations and this one has a definite place in my collection."
