One Of The Greatest R&B Albums Of All Time
CHEWIE | 04/17/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"From the cover you would think TLC was just another Destiny's Child. The truth is "CrazySexyCool" is one of the greatest albums I own. TLC really knew how to work with the right people and Left Eye was far beyond her years. It really helped make the group huge and gave them two #1s (Creep, Waterfalls) and two other Top 5 hits(Red Light Special and Diggin On You). The critics loved it and it even made it one Rolling Stone's Greatest Albums Of All Time.

The good side to the album is the material is great. "Waterfalls" is addictive and has a great message. Left Eye really steals the show with her creative raps. Nothing else reaches that song's height but it is all mostly great. It is very addictive and catchy. All of the girl's voices sound unique together.

The bad side to the album is that I've never been a fan of some of the interludes. They really take up time but there are some of them that I like. "If I Was Your Girlfriend" is the weakest song. Girls singing it takes out the brilliant freakiness of Prince's original.

In conclusion, this is one of greatest R&B albums of all time. (R.I.P Left Eye Lopes)"
