In The Mood For Love...

"This is actually an extended version of a Whispers collection from 1987 that was originally entitled, "In The Mood." Tracks 1-10 were on the original cassette, with 11 + 12 added as CD bonus tracks. When re-packaged and released by The Right Stuff in 1996 (as Greatest Slow Jams), those 12 cuts were on the cassette, with 13 +14 the bonus songs. This compilation brings together most of the romantic tunes from their then-recent "Just Gets Better With Time" album, with some of their other favorite love songs. Many of these songs ("Love Is Where You Find It"; "Say Yes"; "Lady"; "A Song For Donny") are still in the rotation for their very popular live shows. Taken on the whole, this is a nice package. Play it during those special moments with someone you love. Hard-core Whispers fans will like every song, but some of their Greatest Slow Jams didn't find their way to this album. No problem: There is now a Greatest Slow Jams, volume two!"

"The bonus track "Love's Calling" is good enough for the entire price of this CD. The Whispers!! Amazingly sublime band. Honey-dip vocals that will take you back to the days when love's love, when the world was filled with chivalry and romance. Some of the greatest love songs ever recorded are all is this CD. Check this out and slow-groove to the days of true romancin'.."
