Synopsis

Product Description
San Diego California's The Dragons remain one of the most consistently rocking and respected bands in the underground for over a decade. Sin Salvation is their 5th full length studio LP/CD, following their debut Pain Killer (1996) and their 3 Junk Records releases Cheers To Me (1998) R*L*F (1999) and Rock N Roll Kamikaze (2001.) Mainstays at any important music event from South by Southwest (8 times running!) to the Las Vegas Shakedown, their live show is legendary. Taking a cue from the Ramones, they connect every song, and can play for 2 straight hours, a truly heroic feat of rock and roll showmanship. For the first time on record, this live energy has been properly harnessed; Sin Salvation was recorded totally live in studio in one massive take, with no overdubs at all by Grammy Award winning (for Eminem's The Eminen show) engineer Alex Reverberi.

(4 out of 5 stars)

"I saw these guys play a gig a few months ago and they torn down the place. Their love of Johnny Thunders and Catholic guilt fuel this new record. The Dragons are a San Diego garage band whose members are Mexican and Japanese. The title track "Sin Salvation" blows the roof off the joint. The guitar solos by Ken Mochikoshi are wall to wall. The energy is high, and where can you go from there? Tracks like "Self Destruction" and "Dirty Bomb" are as raw as The Damned at their peak. Actually they are more talented than those jokers. This record was recorded in three days and is mostly live takes. It has a lot of power and glory. The Dragons are a band that needs our attention. (www.freewilliamsburg.com)"
