Synopsis

Album Description
"Kiss the Moon" is the result of Sharif's sessions with acclaimed production team, Chris Keup and Stewart Myers (River, Rebecca Lord, Agents of Good Roots). Sharif's soothing voice shines through in the title track ?Kiss the Moon?, comforting the listener while hypnotic guitar and piano melodies interweave into the fabric of his voice. "Stay" and "Sacrifice" capture his softer side, lingering on lost loves and torn relationships. More upbeat songs, like "Midnight Dream" and "Envy," provide a more mystifying and often cynical outlook on life. Throughout the album, Chris Keup and Stewart Myers?s work with Sharif adds layers of melody and texture to already beautiful songs. The instruments, the haunting vocals of Virginia folk singing sensation, Regan, and the beats, teetering between new age and world beat, fuse to create a new synthesis of melody and hypnotic groove.

CD Reviews

A MUST OWN CD!

"This young talent is sure to go places. Sharif's original melodies and powerful lyrics create music from the heart. The album gets even better every time I listen to it. Sharif has just replaced Dave Matthews as my favorite musician!"
What a Great Album!!

"Wow, what a great and diverse album! The opening song kind of has a spacey/tribal feel to it (whatever that means), and the rest of the songs range from modern rock to slow acoustic ballads. If you like Toad the Wet Sprocket, Elliott Smith, or David Gray, definitely check out this album. I totally love Sharif's soothing voice, and cannot wait until he puts out another CD."
Buy the Junks

"Sharif has, is and always will be a mainstay in my life. His music rivals that of legends like Benny Dodd and Gonzo's Nose. Buy the Junks. Jibba Jabba."
