Rose Moore is truly Blessed By The Angels
Clarissa | Ontario, California | 11/22/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Rose would like to thank:
...the creator for giving me the gifts to sing and write songs... Native American Rose Moore is the newest label mate to well-known artists such as Mythos, B-Tribe, Neal Schon and Sasha Lazard. However, it's with Higher Octave's Grammy-nominated Sacred Spirit (which is a group I highly recommend!) that Rose has lent her vocals to in the past with the unforgettable "Delta Dela" and "The Cradlesong", which was made popular thanks in part to the 'Pure Moods II' compilation. This is her first solo project and it proves that she can make incredible music on her own (along with a little help from producer "The Brave"). This album was written within the course of 6 years, and in various locations, but I can already tell that this is going to be a very underrated new age album. 'Spirit Of Silence' deserves a ton of recognition but to me this album will forever remain embedded in my heart of hidden treasures. "Why / E Si Do Maya E Si" was written for those who woke for the last time on the morning of September 11th.
In the native culture a spirit song helps acknowledge those departed and aid their journey into the next world. "Softly The Wind" is probably my favorite song, which is an ode to that which is unseen in the realm of spirit, but which at times we all can feel. ... 'I am only part of this mystery. Part of the gentle wind blowing. Softly the wind is blowing...' The lyrics (unlike most songs these days) are all meaningful and heartfelt with ethereal melodies and a powerful yet soothing vocal style that will most likely appeal to fans of Aeone, Enya, Eri Sugai, and maybe even Sinead O'Connor. And because amazon doesn't currently have a tracklisting up for 'Spirit Of Silence', here it is:01. Introduction To Rose's Music 2:56
02. O Spirit Tree 4:57
03. Nanita 4.58 ... This is another personal favorite.
04. Master Of Silence 1:30
05. O Ecclesia / Zu Ni A 3:59
06. Blessed By The Angels 3:24
07. Softly The Wind 5:02
08. Dela Dela 3:56
09. Light After Darkness 2:55
10. Why / E Si Do Maya E Si 4:50
11. River Run 3:26
12. Heaven & Sky 3:33
13. Outro 2:49 This is Highly recommended!"
The Spirit rises when I hear this CD

"I find myself humming the tunes and reciting the words to these songs as I get ready in the morning ... anticipating getting into my car and pressing CD1 to hear the strains of Rose Moore's enchanting words over the compelling music by the Brave (the same one who did Sacred Spirit and Sacred Spirit II and B-Tribe from Higher Octave Music.) Overdubbed with multi-layered synth it has an Enya like sound, with beautiful melodies that nurture deep introspection -- but the words are clearly the revelations of a woman on a spiritual path. Rose also sang on the Sacred Spirit II album and there is a track on this album that is very reminiscent of that sound, but with lyrics that resonate to those who seek the answers to the meaning of life. With music that reminds me of Adiemus, or Enigma, or Mythos -- it is hard to categorize or pigeon hole into a recognizable format. The album is a whole story from the first intro track to the last -- not just a bunch of songs put together -- but a full collection of stories set to some very mezmerizing music. BUY this CD -- you will not be sorry. But a warning... you might not "get" the whole concept or beauty of it, until you listen to the various parts a few times through. Then you will find, like I did, that you can't get this CD out of your head -- and you just have to hear it again!"
Spirits and Angels come together
Nocturnal Tigress | Pittsburgh, PA, USA | 12/01/2003

"This is a fantastic New Age album. I am definetly going to look into more from this record company and especially Rose Moore. Rose Moore is a Native American who reminds me very much of Enya even though Enya is Celtic, not Native American. Rose writes thought provoking, beautiful lyrics; which are blended with great instrumentals.
"In the sand is buried a treasure/A thousand years ago left to me/I am only part of this mystery/Part of the gentle wind blowing/Softly the wind is blowing"-taken from 'Softly the Wind'
In the booklet, there are notes explaining the songs, which is very nice. Enya fans will definetly love this album-but I don't want to sound like Rose is an Enya copycat. Any New Age fan should get a copy, your collection is not complete without it."
