A gifted musical singer with a finely honed jazz sensibility

"In this astonishing debut CD, Parris weaves her throaty and expressive voice over a delicious selection of songs in this excellently produced albumn. The lyrics are expressive, the orchestration smooth yet jivey, the song selection and order sensible and part of an overall story. Her rendition of "Ferris Wheel" will stop you cold in your tracks as you remember that one amazing moment in your life when you know that suddenly, inexplicably, magically -- you were loved. Add all this to her excellent vocal musicianship and the CD is a treasure worth buying, worth buying for presents, and worth remembering."
