Another Gem from the Nylons - Accapella's Superior Group
Jose R. Perez | Yonkers, NY USA | 04/27/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

""Seamless" is the perfect title for this perfect gem of an album...which stands alongside "One Size Fits All" as the group's best ever. With standards like "Up ion the Roof" and "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" any fan of music - and especially of powerful male voices - will enjoy the rythmic passion that these fellows infuse in every lyric, every verse. A grand addition to your collection."
Makes me want to sing in an accapella group!!

"When I was in college, 15 years ago or so, I heard the Nylons, Live. They were the "warm up " band for the Pointer Sisiters. At intermission, everyone was out in the lobby buying Seamless instead of whatever the Sisters were selling. I've seen/heard them several times since then. They rock, we rock; they sing, we want to sing along; they set our feet tapping, they make us happy. I love this group and this CD, their first, is their best work, in my opinion. I hope they tour again sometime, it'll bring back great memories. I want this CD, to replace a beat up cassette, I hope it also comes out agian!! If you like this stuff, try the Chenille sisiters from Michigan. Same idea, different gender!"
Superb vocal talent spent on mediocre songs.

"About 30 minutes of top quality rock-a-pella. Ten songs. Some good, some forgetable. Voices are fabulous - which is typical of the Nylons during this period. The arrangements are very creative but . . . this album doesn't leave me singing the tunes in my head. I walk away thinking, "Wow that was really well done" . . . . and then tend to forget about it. There are some good songs but overall this album seems out of focus.
I was spoiled by "Happy Together" which I think was their best album. If you are looking for more of the same on this album unfortunately what you get is a shadow of the incredible vocal work capable of this group.
Recommended for Nylons fans (like me) but if you have never bought a Nylons CD buy "Happy Together" and get blown away. You'll wonder why this group never became all that popular. For a second Nylons CD get "One Size Fits All". Those are my recomendations."
