Choruses to inspire tears of inspiration...
Lightbearer | Lakewood, WA USA | 06/02/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I wasn't going to rate this CD. I mean, what's the use? There are just so many raves about it. I assume these come from the main demographic of fans, kids who are impressed with the general produced image of this collected group. Lemme give you a review from a musical standpoint. I just love this CD. Like I've said before, pop music production usually has all stops pulled out. Now, besides the fact that this group is comprised of kids who happen to be the best dancers, singers and star on their own gorgeous TV show, the music itself is probably the red-eyed, stay-up-all-night, crumpled-up-paper-everywhere, rewritten-until-it's-perfect music. When I pop this CD into my computer and see the name(s) of the individuals who wrote these songs alongside their piece of art, the name itself lends some sort of face to a very illustrious mind. These songs are not only typically catchy pop songs, but the melodies remind you of an ending soundtrack about some sort of triumph. Couple that with the fact that this group extends on the fire left behind by an immensely popular European pop group, and tries to imitate them. I don't think RBD imitates anyone, though, in the end. This is original stuff. The choruses, where the whole group sings together, along with the most well-written, bright pop songs that I've ever heard is just powerful! I guess the triumph is in demonstrating that creativity can be so powerful that it appeals to millions of individuals all at once. I mean, listening to some of these songs I keep thinking this exact thought, "If I were to write a song with all my heart, this is EXACTLY what it would sound like." "Aun Hay Algo" is my favorite. This is exactly what it would sound like."
