CD Reviews

"Their best record, period. Kind of reminds
me of the Pumpkins' Gish. No filler here.
Molko's strongest album lyrically as well.
One of the best of the nineties: I could
listen to this forever...

First and best Placebo-album

"This one is by far my favourite Placebo-album. Although my absolute favourite songs are on other albums ('Slave To The Wage' on Black Market Music and 'The Bitter End' on Sleeping With Ghosts) the entire album sounds so... perfect.
It all starts with 'Come Home' as a starter. This is possibly even a better starter then 'Bulletproof Cupid' on SWG, cause it gives you alot of energy, and you like singing the lyrics even if you listen to it the first time.
'Teenage Angst' and 'Bionic' are both stand outs of the album, Bionic is the best song on the album, and it's my third favout-rite Placebo-song. '36 Degrees', 'Hang On To Your IQ' and 'Nancy Boy' (THE Placebo-classic), 'Lady Of The Flowers' and 'Swallow' are less good then the others, but those are also very good (especially 36 Degrees and Nancy Boy). 'I Know' is a really great song, with really great lyrics 'you love the song, but not the singer' great! Also a stand out track. 'Bruise Pristine' is good, but I really like the tune of the song. Last but not least the hidden track 'H.K. Farewell'. It's an instrumential song, only piano, but it's so beautifull it's another stand out track in my opinion. What more can I say? Buy this!"
