CD Reviews

A Great Jazz CD For Today, Tomorrow And Forever
P. A. Robinson | Fort Worth, TX USA | 12/23/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"While working and listening to an on-line radio station the song "Riveria" was played. I immediately clicked on the artists' info. What a surprise...I had never heard of Philippe Saisse. I kept requesting the song to be played quite a few times. A friend was over listening to it as well. We finally jumped in the car, went to the store to purchase it. The entire cd is great. A very smooth, relaxing and mellow CD. Something any jazz virtuoso would appreciate."
Ahhhhhh...

"...that is what you'll say and feel when you listen to these mellow and very aphrodisiacal compositions this Maestro has put together. A very moody mélange indeed...then you're high will come to a very rude and annoying interruption when you get to track #11!! What was this "D-Knowledge" thinking?!?! You might think it cool if you're into "slam"-type poetry, but I found it very cacophonous...Phillipe Saisse is just that pianist/artist/composer I've been hoping to find. He's taken this "smooth-jazz" thing to a very innovative, intoxicating, and sexy new level--C~"
Essential smooth jazz with one mistake
Peter R. Prunkl | Salisbury, NC USA | 05/23/2000
(4 out of 5 stars)

"An extremely pleasant, upbeat collection with Saisse's smooth jazz piano backed by trumpet, electric bass, guitar (Marc Antione on one cut), wire-brushed percussion, electronic drums, and sound effects (whistling on track 1). Track 11, Miracle, is an awful rap by D-Knowledge. His is a voice from another genre and is best ignored. All other tunes are great."
