CD Reviews

Best of the CINEMA releases
Livingstill | Meadville, PA. | 10/25/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is the best that CINEMA electronic music releases had to offer in the mid-eighties. Everyone of these songs has an interesting element to it - whether it be the keyboard or synthesizer work or the melody or effects that drive them. This was 'Dark Side' for the synthesizer enthusiast. Most of my friends in college liked this and wondered where it came from. For fans of Camel and Floyd (instrumental only)."
Great CD company short lived!

"Pete Bardens music was unique and many never heard of Him.

This CD was one of 4 released under Capitol/Cinema in 1987.

Peter Bardens Seen One Earth...Michael Hoenig X-Cept One....Amin Bhatia Interstellar Suite and Patrick Moraz Human Interface.

There was a Cinema Sampler CD released with samples of these 4 CD's.

That's where most of us found out about Peter Bardens.

Back in 1987 there was also a Video of "In Dreams" I saw on MTV but only a coupla times.

Anyhow nuff of the history lesson.

If you like to hear something relaxing and pleasantly different this is a GREAT CD!!

Combo of Vocals...Piano/Keyboards and effects....kind of a hybrid Jazz sorta style.

It was a real shame He passed away from Cancer in 2002.

Much of Peter Bardens CD's are getting hard to find and expensive.

If your gonna pick this up I wouldn't wait too long!

There weren't a lot of Cinema CD's distributed before they went out of biz.(Maybe 6 weeks)

So actually any of the 4 released are getting scarce. Including the sampler CD.

There were at least 6 more Peter Bardens CD released after this one under various recording lables.

Which are also a nice addition to your collection.

All of Peter Bardens CD's are getting harder and harder to find because they are all discontinued.

*This one being the hardest to find because of limited production*"
