CD Reviews

A 70's presence...
znodog | nyc, usa | 04/11/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The debut was good but this is a superior 2nd album. If this came out between '74/ '78 it would have been the greatest classic of our time.Even though there is more spacey synthesizers and futuristic sci-f- themes and artwork, this still comes across really retro, like listening

to "Presence" by Zep or "Wish You Were Here" by Floyd. These guys are probally young but they channel a special '70's sound and vibe. A nice production, lots of jams and wailing sonic vocals that would impress a Styx fan. This really is for lovers of Hawkwind, Blue Oyster Cult, 10 CC,early-prog and kraut-rock.Travel back to the future with Danava..."
Davana - 'Unonou' (Kemado)

"Worthy follow-up to their self-titled debut {see my review}, and at least as good - if not better. Tunes here that I found myself playing repeatedly were the *ss-kicking "Where Beauty And Terror Dance", "A High Or A Low", the awesome "Down From A Cloud, Up From The Ground" and the thirteen-minute out-standing "One Mind Gone Separate Ways" that ends with an all-out mind-sizzling instrumental jam. Once again, like with their self-titled CD, the vocals on this effort sounds much like Sabbath-era Ozzy. In this case, it's a good thing. Recommended."
Amazing new band with a classic sound..

"Awesome old school lo-fi like sound, sweet artwork. A must for anyone into classic rock, classic heavy metal, and psychedelic rock."
