"I discovered Noir Désir when I was going to school in Tours in 1989. I made the unfortunate mistake of lending the cassette to a KSMU deejay who liked it so much he skipped town with it. I finally got a colleague to pick up a CD for me on a business trip, and somebody broke into my house and made off with it. I've managed to replace it again, so I am hoping that the criminal element will just buy their copies from Amazon now instead of stealing mine! Seriously, this is a great CD, way ahead of its time, and my husband loves it even though he doesn't understand French. (He just makes up his own words and sings along. ::grin::)"

"yes Noir Désir is the greatest rock band from france, and i love them so that i could say they are the best's of the world...and yes , one could say that Veuillez ... is their best album, but is there really a best album of N.D? In my mind they're all marvellous, and more, each of their song is a miracle. They have an amazing sound and B. Cantat's voice is a gift of god, sure. They had caught the rage, and no one know how to transmit it like them. My favorite songs on this album: what i need, sweet Mary, Joey."
