"I had always heard the name Nancy Wilson when I was growing up but never really seriously listened to her. "A Lady With A Song" was the first Nancy Wilson CD I purchased and I have been in love with this woman ever since. "Lady With A Song" is one of my favorite CDs by anyone, period. Wilson nails every song. There's no filler material here. Her remake of The Emotions' "Don't Ask My Neighbor" outshines the original. I prefer Nancy in this type of setting, R&B with Jazz overtones.



For a real treat, the Japanese version of this CD contains a bonus track, "Fairy Tales", which Anita Baker recorded a couple of years later. Baker wrote the song especially for Nancy and lends her vocal stylings to this version, also.

"The opening song, "Do You Still Dream About Me" couldn't be more perfect as this is one of her best. I agree with the other posters on this one. Nancy has always meant class, quality of song selection and performance. I don't think Nancy can do any wrong....don't let the new artists get all of your money and invest in this CD for quality singing."
