"This is one the most surprising albums of smooth jazz I listened in the past decade. Well made arrangements, fine musicality with an enviable musical support. Marc Johnson acoustic bass, Gerald Vessley electric bass, Mino Cinelu guitar but besides, Bob Mintzer saxophone, Chieli Minucci, Andy Narell and Toots Thielemans kindly collaborated with Kim to make this work come true.
Pensyl shows to be provided of immense talent and undeniable musicality. All compositions and arrangements bliong to him. "Right outside the window", "Portrait of Grace" and "By the way" conform the most distinguished trio of easy listening pieces, whose smooth and fascinating charm, make of them a remarkable selection.
But there is still more. Hal moon bay is a gay theme with visible Brazilian inflections; while Brazilian dreams obviously suggests a moving and touching piece; Eyes of wonder is an emblematic and lovable piece dedicated to her daughter with that engaging harmonic of Thielemans
Additionally Pensil in the booklet refers us about your sincere friendship with Leonardo Niermann (the cover is a reproduction of this artist) to whom dedicated the theme "Memories of tomorrow". The sound is a true state art.
