Wonderful uplifting christian music with a country beat

"I didn't think christian music was anything but churchhouse boring. I come from an old ranching family than attended church regularly, it was no longer a need, it was down right boring. Ken makes The Lord and his works wonderful again. THANK YOU KEN, YOU ARE A BLESSING!"

"If you you think of old-time sleepy "gospel" music when you hear the phrases "christian" and "country" in the same sentence, boy are you in for a suprise. Ken Holloway doesn't fit into that mold at all. The tracks on this recording are tight, well written and downright entertaining. "Rose of Sharon" has that sweet swing sound that any country fan would recognize in an instant. "Unplug the Jukebox" is just a real fun tune, but "Runs in the Blood" absolutely betrays Ken's roots. Good stuff, Maynard. If you don't own this recording--buy it. It's one of those which never grows tired. Just like all of his stuff."
