"I discovered Kali from the Putumayo collections. That record label absoltuely loves him, and featured him on six of their compilations. I loved his songs so much that I picked this up. He combines zouk- party music of Martinique and Quadeloupe; and reggae. If you love Caribbean music and like to dance, I think this would be a very wise purchase. My favorite tracks are "Brother Bob," a tribute to the late, great Bob Marley! Also, "Kreyol" is another standout trac-IMHO. There is only one slow song, "Mulatresse Solitude." The French lyrics are featured also. This is just an example of the great music the Caribbean islands offer us!! Open your eyes and discover something new!!"
