Powerful vocals/Chock-Full of Songs

"Joules Graves has one of those powerful voices that makes you groan, "Boy, I wish I could sing like that". Booming with gorgeous vibrato, she has the kind of voice that makes folk music worth listening to.This album is packed with songs - it just seems to contain an endless stream of them. Talk about getting one's money's worth. Even if there are as many as ten songs you don't like - don't worry - there'll be just as many that you DO like, and it'll still have been a worthwhile buy.Some of her albums are more polished. This one is raw folk - just a gorgeous voice, simple instrumentation, and lots of worth-hearing lyrics. The title song "Waterfall Child" is such an uplifting song with real spark. The lyrics, "I have remembered the power of the flowing water to smooth the stone ..." have helped ease my way through more than one hectic day. The fresh, wholesome duet on "Love" is another must-hear.Remember not to give up on this album if you run into one or two songs that don't catch your fancy. There's SO much material here - and her voice is so strong - you're bound to find something that reaches you."
