Decent if not outstanding collection of Janet remixes along

"This collection mainly consists of remixes taken from Janet Jackson's great 1993 album "Janet." With that being one of her best albums, it's kind of hard to improve upon songs that were so great in the first place, but this collection is hardly bad, and certainly does nothing to strip the original songs of any and all dignity. Perhaps the best reason for buying this collection, however, is getting the hard to find B-sides, because as many fans of Janet (or at least those of the classic Janet) know, just about anything she made during her best years was as good as some of her biggest hits, and this album contains the minor hits "And On An On" and "70s Love Groove." Also, I've noticed from reading some of the reviews here that people are disappointed about the absence of the song "One More Chance." If you want that song, buy the cassette of this album (if you can find it; it's scarce) and have it transferred. It's longer than a standard CD (about 95 minutes), and includes that song as well as four others that there weren't room for on the disc."
Janet's good stuff

"Why oh why must the good stuff be only available overseas and/or out of print? A collection of remixes and b-sides from the Janet. era is a rare treat and a major must for any Miss Jackson collection. All the remixes are top-notch, but the R. Kelly mix for Any Time, Any Place takes the cake. Even steamier and more erotic than the original (as if that were possible). The b-sides are the added bonus. And On and On is a Sly and the Family Stone sampled breezy jam perfect for summer and 70s Love Groove has a sexy, laidback throwback theme with references to mood rings and the Zodiac. Odd that One More Chance is left off the cd, but you can't have it all I guess. Pick it up if you're a big fan. It's worth it."
