"Without a doubt one of Domine's best efforts. Wow, I was a little worried when I heard they were going a away from the swords and sorcery and the White Warrior theme. Domine has billed this effort as more focused on emotions and general themes and it really works well. There is no generic lyrics about dragons and swords but the music is exactly the same as before.



The recording focus is slightly more on the vocals which are more in the front than before. I rarely like this tactic and if I had my choice I prefer the previous sound of Stormbringer or Emperor. But really, it is not a big change so no big deal.



As far as the songwriting we really have a winner here. This might be the best we have seen from these guys. I think the fact that the lyrics are a little more (I hate to use the word) mature really creates a beautiful masterpiece of an album.



This album widens Domine's target audience just a bit but does not in any way loose previous fans. If you like any of Domine's previous albums I can gaurantee you will like this one as well.



Really, Really good job guys. A very classy piece of work.
