There are some gems

"Besides "Love Makes," I was familiar with "Love Takes A Long Time Growing." For many years I had that tune in my head and finally a few years ago, I found that nice tune on this CD. Besides the aforementioned, "Your Gonna Wake Up Wiser," "I Need A Love Like Your," "I Can't Do Without You," are also great songs from an very underrated artist. Personally, I liked his stuff better than Smokey Robinson. I wonder if Deon is still around.

I'm adding the following on 9/14/08. The Chicago Sun-Times did an article on Deon around April or May of 2008. He is alive and well as of this writing and working at school outside of Chicago."
