"If you know about Sanchez' music, share it! Several elements become criteria to become a world-class singer. One, the ability to write or choose profound and meaningful lyrics; two, how well to convey those lyrics; three, to incorporate fine musicians, and foremost, to have a unique pleasing voice! Cuco Sanchez has it all.

Death in 2000.

This great Mexican composer, actor and entertainer left this world on October 5, 2000. at age 79. Without a doubt, he was Mexico's greatest entertainer simply because he composed such haunting lyrics, unique romantic ballads, rancheras, and the music of the revolution. And his voice was so unique. He sang with inexplicable passion whether the mood was with extreme devotion or saddened rejection.

Translations

In an attempt to interpret lyrics to one who doesn't understand Spanish, my advice is to leave it undone. Translating from Spanish to English should be done by the experts, because of variations in dialect, and the complexity of understanding poetry in a foreign language.

Emotional heartfelt words

Cuco Sanchez sang about love; intent personal love that connects with joy, loss, hurt, anguish and it was his pitch and delivery that brought those words to life. Just listen to the emotion felt in "Anoche Estuvo Llorando" "Anillo de Compromiso" or "Corazon Apasionado."

Only four songs on this collection are not written by Sanchez are "Pa Que Me Sirver La Vida", Sanchez toned down the pace and "Cancion Mixteca", usually sung in an upbeat jubiliant manner and here, he performs it as a slow ballad.

CD Sound - Most important!

Since Cuco Sanchez has been recording forever, with CDs, many times his music is digitally remastered. Sometimes it is done well and at times not great! This music is excellent, the sounds are balanced without distraction of remixing. Listening with earphones is a good indication to how well remastering works.

So, take one of Mexico's premier singers enjoy this music and share it! I recommend Cuco Sanchez, Su Voz, Su Inspiracion Y Sus Mejores Interpretes, Anillo De Compromiso - Fallaste Corazon - El Mil Amores with beautiful guitar accompaniment of Antonio Bribiesca; Voz y Sentimiento de Cuco Snachez; Tesoros de Coleccion a 3-CD Set...MzRizz."
