Interesting Assortment of Qualtiy Composers

"This CD is a worthwhile investment for all fans of new music. The recordings themselves sometimes leave something to be desired, but the works they represent are both interesting and playful at times (e.g. The Ghezzo). Sirota's "Seven Picassos" is a wonderful and innovative auditory illustration of some beautiful paintings (I reccomend finding them so as to better understand the music). The disc on a whole is very enjoyable, encompassing a wide variety of compositional styles from New York composers."
