Brood On This!!!

"I am perplexed that NO ONE ELSE has reviewed this record. I bought this about 5 or 6 years ago just on a lark and was I ever glad! Girl garage band heaven! This is very 60's sounding, meaning it has a cheesy Vox organ, gritty guitars, great song structure & melodies, but it is also very punkish in attitude, and it is filled with sorrow, angst, and longing. It is from the female point of view, and really deep, dark, and tough. It is not slick-sounding, so beware all you Britneyphiles, but it is as real as the night is long. You can smell the cigs and leather. Along with Blonder and Blonder by the Muffs, and Live Through This, ranks with the best of the 90's alt-girl band records (as opposed to solo gals like Liz Phair, Juliana Hatfield, etc). Long live the Brood!"
